Job summary
We are seeking a culturally aware, positive Marketing Manager, ideally from a luxury hospitality background, who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our marketing team at The House of KOKO. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and will be able to calmly manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the communications calendar for The House of KOKO to drive member engagement, managing and implementing marketing strategies relating to member retention and new member acquisition, working closely with key stakeholders across the business including (but not limited to) Membership, Cultural Events and Operational teams and KOKO Studios to enhance the member experience.
The role requires someone with an editorial mindset who understands what is culturally relevant and interesting to members – they are a strong copywriter, ideally with experience in storytelling across multiple channels. The ideal candidate has experience in managing databases (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and must have excellent attention to detail given the high level of information generated by the business.
The successful candidate is passionate about culture, with an interest and awareness of the latest music, art, food, design and fashion trends. We are a warm and friendly team, passionate about the vision for the business and about music and culture. KOKO – The story so far…
London’s iconic KOKO reopened in Spring 2022 after a three-year restoration and redevelopment – a favourite of Prince, Kanye West, Amy Winehouse and Madonna, it relaunched as a state-of-the-art live music venue spanning 50,000 square feet, with a new members club The House of KOKO situated backstage and the new Cafe KOKO next door.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead all marketing efforts in relation to The House of KOKO’s membership community, ensuring timely, relevant, and engaging content is distributed across all channels, including e-comms, digital editorial and on-site
- Plan, brief in and compile member communications, including the weekly member newsletter, whatsapp messages, App and portal copy and CRM campaigns.
- Collate relevant data for the team on a weekly basis in relation to CRM campaigns, website traffic, social media traffic to seek insights that inform strategy.
- Plan and write clear and accurate weekly briefing documents for other internal teams.
- Liaise with ticketing partners to add, remove, and monitor event sales and progress, reporting back to other key stakeholders.
- Create and review design briefs, proof and provide feedback on designs.
- Send assets to print and be responsible for collection and install at The House.
- Lead internal marketing meetings for The House of KOKO, preparing agendas and ensuring items are moved along in a timely manner.
- Liaise with the Social Media and Content team on the creation of content for member updates, event announcements, and in-club collateral, working with the design and content teams to align visuals and messaging.
- Collaborate with membership, cultural events, and operations teams to align marketing efforts with club activities.
- Analyse member engagement metrics to continuously refine communication strategies, focusing on enhancing member satisfaction and participation.
- Assist in identifying and establishing partnerships with external brands and communities to create new membership leads, bringing unique experiences to the club and track conversion rates.
- Track and analyse key data, delivering clear and actionable reports to support the Head of and Director of Marketing in strategic decision-making
About you
We are seeking a culturally aware, positive Marketing Manager, ideally from a luxury hospitality background, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the following key attributes and experience;
- 3–5 years of professional marketing experience with high end hospitality or lifestyle brand, a degree within the field is preferred
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment whilst managing multiple priorities and deadlines, remaining calm under pressure.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to tailor messaging and tone to brand and audience.
- Adaptable and proactive, with the flexibility to support wider marketing initiatives across the business as needed
- Confident presenter with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and to a range of stakeholders
- Comprehensive knowledge of the cultural landscape of London, with a strong understanding of culture, art, music, fashion and luxury and hospitality brands.
