Reports to: Sales & Events Director

Salary: From £50,000, depending on experience

Working week: Full-time role, typically Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, with occasional evenings and weekends to support onsite event delivery and special projects.

Job Summary

The Senior Events Manager, KOKO Theatre, is responsible for leading the planning, production, and delivery of all private, corporate and brand-led events across the KOKO Theatre and wider estate. This role also oversees key seasonal activations and bespoke special projects, contributing directly to the commercial and creative success of the venue.

A strategic and operational role, this position requires an experienced events professional with a passion for entertainment, strong production knowledge and a proven ability to deliver high-profile events from concept through to execution. The Senior Events Manager works cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners, ensuring excellence in service, brand alignment, and guest experience.

Role & Responsibilities

Event Delivery & Production

  • Lead the end-to-end management of corporate, private, and brand-led events across KOKO Theatre and support cross-collaborate events of The House of KOKO
  • Oversee all creative, technical, and operational elements of live event delivery
  • Project-manage special initiatives including seasonal activations and high-impact brand experiences
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation (e.g., critical paths, production schedules, client briefs, run sheets)
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, H&S, and regulatory requirements for all events
  • Prepare post-event reports including financial outcomes, guest feedback, and operational learnings
  • Manage personal event pipeline and ensure CRM systems are maintained
  • Contribute to the department’s annual KPIs and revenue targets
  • Deputise for the Director of Sales & Events in operational and commercial capacities

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as principal point of contact for clients from briefing to post-event wrap-up
  • Develop bespoke proposals aligned with client goals and KOKO’s brand values
  • Conduct site visits, manage FAM trips, and represent KOKO at client events and industry showcases
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, agencies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Lead event walkthroughs and briefings with internal departments including venue management, technical, and operations

Communication & Collaboration

  • Line manage the Events Executive, supporting performance and professional development
  • Collaborate with Venue Management and Technical teams to ensure flawless execution of event briefs
  • Support the wider events team with training, process development, and standards of excellence
  • Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team culture
  • Act as a brand ambassador for KOKO internally and externally
  • Lead weekly team meetings and regular 1:1s with direct reports
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal departments including marketing, finance, legal, and operations
  • Network with industry contacts and stay abreast of market trends
  • Maintain a high standard of communication with all clients and suppliers to ensure exceptional service delivery

About you

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering complex events across multi-space venues, ideally with exposure to premium hospitality environments.
  • You know the UK events landscape inside out, with strong existing relationships across agencies & vendors, organisers and luxury brands.
  • Demonstrable sales and business development experience (minimum 2 years), experience managing budgets, suppliers, and contractual negotiations
  • Experience in working with high-end brand delivery and
  • Strong background in live production, AV, and technical event delivery with sound working knowledge of UK H&S and licensing regulations
  • You’re financially fluent and comfortable working with budgets, understanding margin, and using commercial data to guide day-to-day decisions.
  • You’re a natural communicator, able to brief clearly, build trust with clients, and collaborate cross-functionally with ease.
  • You’re adaptable, solutions-focused, and comfortable in an evolving role – ready to grow alongside a business that’s constantly evolving and scaling.
