Femi Koleoso brings Situation Dance to The Theatre — a live celebration of rhythm, movement and the music that has shaped his sound.

Best known as the drummer and bandleader of Mercury Prize-winning collective Ezra Collective, Koleoso has spent the past decade connecting jazz with hip-hop, Afrobeat, broken beat and UK dance music. His playing has taken him from London’s jazz underground to Glastonbury, Montreux and some of the world’s biggest stages, while his work outside the band has seen him collaborate across the worlds of jazz, soul and electronic music.

Situation Dance brings those influences together in a format built for movement — drawing on the rhythmic foundations of his Nigerian heritage, London’s club culture and the improvisational energy of jazz.
