Banda El Recodo is one of the most iconic ensembles in regional Mexican music. Founded in 1938 by Cruz Lizárraga in El Recodo, Sinaloa, it is internationally recognized as “The Mother of All Bands” for its pioneering role in the diffusion and evolution of banda music.

With a career spanning over eight decades, the group has performed across five continents, earning numerous awards and selling millions of albums. Their legacy include collaborations with legendary figures in Mexican music and a decisive influence on the development of the regional Mexican genre.

Currently led by Luis Alfonso Lizárraga, the ensemble remains a cornerstone of Latin music, delivering world-class performances for audiences of all generations.
