As one quarter of influential Kenyan afro-pop high-flyers Sauti Sol, Bien’s craft has already been celebrated – not least for the group’s Burna Boy collaboration ‘Twice As Tall’, which earned them a Grammy certification.

Last year, he launched solo debut LP ‘Alusa Why Are You Topless?’ – its title a nod to the Nairobi star’s own second name and daring new musical venture. Musically, it’s just as bold and beautiful, with African Music Library declaring the release in turns “poignant”, “affecting”, “enticing” and “engrossing”.
