Digable Planets

Though they weren’t the first to synthesise jazz and hip-hop, Digable Planets remain one of the genre-fusion’s greatest groups, with their 1992 Billboard Top 20 single ‘Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)’ later earning them a Grammy.

Fronted by rapper Ishmael Butler – otherwise known as the leader of Shabazz Palaces – Digable Planets disbanded originally in 1995, but have since reunited for two celebrated stints. Playing two nights at KOKO, they return as hugely influential legends of the game.
