Inspired by the likes of Leonard Cohen and Jarvis Cocker, Scotland’s Hamish Hawk crafts witty, arch musical pen-portraits infused with lyrical dexterity and queer perspective. With this summer’s acclaimed third album ‘A Firmer Hand’, he strikes for thrilling new ground: “a confident statement of intent on an album made harder, more honest, more brutal” (The Quietus). Amongst the modern British male landscape, he’s in a field of one.
