A true virtuoso of his instrument, Virginia-born Nate Smith is one of modern music’s most revered jazz drummers. Having achieved three Grammy nominations for his solo track ‘Home Free (For Peter Joe)’, building his own acclaimed solo canon whilst working alongside the likes of Brittany Howard and Michael Jackson, for whom he co-wrote 2001’s ‘Heaven Can Wait’, Smith is a generational talent with the back catalogue and the live prowess to prove it. “Smith is a dynamic presence… an athletic drummer” – Jazz Times

Saxophonist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and Grammy Award-winning producer. Josh’snew solo album, Unusual Object, was released in April 2024 (Northern Spy). Over the past few years, Josh was musical director for Leon Bridges and produced Meshell Ndegeocello’s Grammy Award-winning album The Omnichord Real Book, and he can be heard on wide-ranging records by artist such as Harry Styles, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Moonchild, Broken Bells, Miley Cyrus, Louis Cole, Carlos Niño, Makaya McCraven and Jeff Parker, among others.
