Cian Godfrey’s Dublin-born modern rock project Somebody’s Child is one rooted in evolution and experimentation, where the groundbreaking attitude of Kraftwerk is just as important as the alternative world’s pivotal guitar touchstones. With his newest work addressing ideas of ageing and maturity, now Godfrey heads to KOKO to celebrate second album ‘When Youth Fades Away’: a confident step forward including recent hits ‘Last Night I Held Your Hand’ and ‘Time Of My Life’, that’s been hailed by Clash Magazine as “the anthemic, hopeful record we all need”.
