The Alehouse Sessions

Devised by Norwegian violinist Bjarte Eike and performed by virtuoso players Barokksolistene, The Alehouse Sessions recreate the joyful sounds and atmosphere of an English 17th Century tavern. Step back in time for a night of Purcell overtures, English sea shanties, Scandinavian folk songs and more, all told via a unique concert experience that’s toured throughout Europe, with a show recently airing on BBC Four. “Mixes period-performance with alehouse singalongs to exhilarating effect.” – The Guardian.
