Having first burst through with debut ‘No Love Lost’ amidst the mid-’00s British indie boom, The Rifles’ mod-nodding sensibilities saw them quickly championed by the NME and Radio 1 alike, with early hits ‘Local Boy’ and ‘Peace and Quiet’ cementing their place in the canon. Nearly two decades on, their knack for melodic bangers remains intact and, following frontman Joel Stoker’s recent solo debut, the band return in support of their first new record of the decade: ‘Love Thy Neighbour’.
