Tom Misch

After stepping back from touring to reset and refocus, Tom Misch is back with new music and a renewed sense of direction. The South London songwriter, producer and guitarist first built a global following through self-released tracks before breaking through with 2018 album, Geography. Misch’s music has always sat comfortably between jazz, soul and contemporary pop – back in 2018, NME called it Schmatzcore for its smooth sound and Misch’s caramel vocals. Recent releases Red Moon and Old Man have been the first hints of Misch’s new album – which he deems ‘personal’ and ‘vulnerable’, shaped by time away and a desire to approach music on his own terms. His live shows reflect that mindset, favouring musicianship, connection and looseness over spectacle. At KOKO, Misch brings a set that bridges familiar favourites with where his sound is heading next.
