Since breaking through with his debut Soundcloud mixtape ‘The Outlaw King’, Nigerian Afropop sensation Victony’s life has been a rollercoaster, filled with huge career successes (millions of streams including the huge hit, ‘Soweto’) but also, in 2021, a near-fatal car accident. Last year, he fused this all into triumphant debut LP ‘Stubborn’, featuring collaborations with Teezo Touchdown, Asake and more. Speaking to Billboard, Victony described the record as a representation of “overcoming adversity and transforming life’s ‘lemons’ into powerful art.” Now, in celebration of the release, he brings ‘Stubborn’ and more to the KOKO theatre as part of a long-awaited European tour.
