GZA & The Phunky Nomads – Live in London
GZA is a founding member of Wu-Tang Clan known as The Genius for his cool, precise flow and intricate, literate rhymes. Within the group, he is known as the “spiritual head,” being both the oldest and the first to receive a record deal.
On stage, he shares anecdotes from his childhood and the genesis of his scientific curiosity growing up in the inner city of Staten Island. With deft lyrical skill, he recites narrative “freestyles”—often off the top of his head—that truly tell the story of the powerful relationship between hip-hop, rhythm, wordplay, and science.
