She identifies as Afro-Indigenous and is known for her genre-blending music that spans hip-hop, punk, soul, and emo. Her work often explores themes of identity, spirituality, and empowerment, reflecting her experiences growing up in East Harlem and the Lower East Side.

Beyond music, Princess Nokia is an outspoken advocate for intersectional feminism and LGBTQ+ rights. She co-founded the Smart Girl Club, a collective aimed at empowering women through discussions on urban feminism and healthy living. Her activism and artistry have made her a prominent voice for marginalized communities, and she continues to use her platform to challenge societal norms and inspire self-expression.
